This blog not going to be anything major in the Optometry world but closer to home. We have heard your request! We got new brands including Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Maui Jim! This gives more designer frames and with Maui Jim, it gives us some of the best optics out of sunglasses! When I told my sister I was getting Maui Jim's in the office she immediately asked "Can we change all her sunglasses lenses to Maui Jim's lenses?" The answer is sadly no unless they were Maui Jim frames. Most people know the optics on Maui Jim's are on another level compared to other lenses when it comes to sunglasses. All their lens are polarized using their patented PolarizedPlus2 along with using great anti-glare coating and using 3 different rare earth metals to help with the saturations of color. They can also have gradient mirror coating which to be honest just looks awesome. All this allows them to remove 99.9% of glare and of course 100% UV protection. We continue to try to grow in offering the best lens, frames, and technology in the exam lane. Every day we strive to be better than the last and continue to improve the practice.
